Thirunageswaram Weather

The best season for the pilgrims to visit Thirunageswaram is from October to March. The religious temples can be visited during this time as the weather is neither very hot nor very cold. Also there is no fear of rainfall during this period. June-September time is perfect for visitors who want to stay in the town for a few days only. Despite the humid weather these months are enjoyable and good for sight-seeing.  

Summer

Just like the other Navagrha Sthalas, Thirunageswaram also experiences a hot weather between the months of March and May. At this time the temperature ranges from 28-44 degree Celsius. Travelers are advised not to visit the place during this hot weather.

Monsoon

Rainy season starts in June and lasts until the end of September. Unlike other Navagraha Sthalas, Thirunageswaram gets heavy rainfall (approximately 220 cm) each year. Heavy rain showers can give some relief to the visitors from the scorching heat.

Winter

The winter time in Thirunageswaram starts from December and lasts until the end of February. The temperature is between 20-30 degree Celsius and during this time the climate is usually very pleasant.
