Tamenglong Weather

Tamenglong has a tropical climate which three distinct seasons of summer, monsoons and winters.

Summer

Due to the hilly tract of the district, the summer months are mostly pleasant in Tamenglong with occasional high temperatures. Summers sets in by March and stays up to May and June. The temperatures can be expected to rise up to 32 degrees Celsius. May and June are the hottest months of the years.

Monsoon

Continuous rainfall is a part and parcel of the monsoons in Tamenglong. From the month of June to September Tamenglong experiences the monsoons. The South West Monsoon brings rainfall to the area during these months. But after the monsoons end and leave behind sparking hills, the tourists can come flocking in.

Winter

Just as the summers can get quite hot, the winters too get quite cold. There has been a time when the temperature has dropped down to 0 degrees Celsius too. Since tourists visit Tamenglong during the winters, woollens clothes should be compulsorily carried. It should be remembered that the winters are chilly.
