Srisailam Weather

The best time to travel to Srisailam is between the months of October and February. During the winter months of December to February, the weather is mild, and the cold in the air is tolerable. However, it may become cold at night so one must carry a jacket or a shawl for protection.

Summer

Summers begin in the month of March and continue until the end of June. The summer temperature can go as high as 42 degrees Celsius making it impossible to travel or go sightseeing at the time. The summer sun is extremely hot and can lead to problems like heat stroke and dehydration.

Monsoon

Srisailam experiences moderate rainfall during the months of July, August and September. Sometimes, the area may receive lights showers during the month of November as well. Although the temperature during monsoon comes down to about 32 degrees Celsius, the humidity level rises exceedingly. It is not advised to travel to Srisailam during the monsoons.

Winter

Winters in Srisailam are pleasant and suitable for sightseeing. Unlike the winters in northern India, the winters in Srisailam are not nipping cold. The temperature comes down to about 29 degrees Celsius thus, making the sun quite tolerable. In fact, it is indeed a pleasure to travel to the place during winters because the afternoons are warm and the evenings are cool without being chilly.
