Torana Ganapati Temple, Sringeri

A visit to the Torana Ganapati Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is recommended to all tourists passing by Sringeri. Lord Ganesha is worshipped in the form of Vara Prasadi and Kshipra Varaprasadi at this temple. According to local beliefs, the idol of Lord Ganesha present at this pilgrimage site was established by Sri Narasimha Bharati IV.

The chief attraction of the temple is the padukaas of Vriddha Narasimha Bharati Swamy. This temple offers coconuts and modaks of sugar and jaggery to all devotees. Pilgrims can also participate in prayers and rituals that are held on Tuesdays as well as on Chaturthi.
