Manasbal Lake is situated around 30 km from Srinagar in the Jhelum Valley. The lake derives its name from Lake Mansarovar and the three villages of Kondabal, Gratbal and Jarokbal that lie on its banks. With a depth of 43 ft, this lake is considered to be the deepest lake in Kashmir. The lake is popular among tourists for its lotuses, which add to its natural beauty.

This lake is popular as the ‘supreme gem of all Kashmir Lakes’. The period between July and August is ideal for water skiing here. A Mughal Garden known as Garoka overlooks the lake. This lake is also ideal for bird watching.
