How to reach Sonamarg by train

The nearest railhead to Sonamarg is Nowgam Railway Station, also known as Srinagar Railway Station. It located at a distance of 70 km from Sonamarg but it is not well connected with the rest of the Indian rail network. Jammu Tawi Railway Station is the nearest major rail link to Sonamarg, which is well connected with all the important Indian cities. Tourists can hire taxis or cabs from outside the railway station in order to reach Sonamarg.
