Shivanasamudra Waterfalls divides into Barachukki Falls and Gaganchukki Falls, which fall from an elevation of 200 ft and merge into the Kavery river. This waterfall is considered to be the second largest in the country and is counted amongst the top 100 waterfalls across the globe.

Travellers can visit the Ranganatha Swamy Temple of the Hoysala period that is situated on the Madhya-Ranga Island while coming to see this waterfall. People need to cross the two bridges over the Cauvery river in order to reach the Ranganatha Swamy Temple.
