The winter season is ideally the best time to visit Satna. The period from October to March is the best season to visit Satna as the weather is pleasant, making it the most ideal time to tour in Satna and the nearby tourist destinations.

Summer

Summer starts in the month of March towards the end and lasts till mid-June. The mercury can soar up to 40°C in the peak of summer between the months of April and May thus making it an avoidable period for tourists to visit this place.

Monsoon

Satna receives its rainfall from June until the month of September. Receiving rains from the Arabian Sea Monsoon, Satna shares a monsoon climate that is similar to other parts of Madhya Pradesh. Heavy downpour is experienced in the months of July and August. A visit during this time is not advisable.

Winter

Gradual transition to winter happens in the month of October with the months from November to February being at the helm of the winter season in Satna. Temperatures dip to a chilly minimum of 5°C during this period. This is an ideal time to travel; do not to carry warm woollen clothes.
