Sarchu Weather

Travellers are suggested to visit Sarchu during summers as the climate remains favourable for exploring the region.

Summer

(June to October): In Sarchu, the summer season extends between the months of June and October. During summers the average temperature of the place is 25� C which is ideal for exploring the region as well as adventurous activities such as hiking.

Monsoon

(July and August): Sarchu falls under a rain shadow area and therefore rarely receives rainfall. However, heavy rainfall has been recorded in the months of July and August.

Winter

(October to May): During winters the temperature of Sarchu might drop down to -35℃. The highway and camp site remain closed during this time due to snow. Tourists are advised not to plan a trip to Sarchu during this time.
