    Shri Ganpati Mandir

    The Ganpati Mandir is a renowned religious monument of the district of Sangli. Built from the period of 1811 to 1844, this temple took 30 years to be constructed by the then Rajasaheb of Sangli called Appasaheb Patwardhan.

    The temple was used during the time of our freedom struggle by noted freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi and Lokmanya Tilak.The temple looks stunning in its black stone walls and doors carved from natural wood. The temple spreads over an area of almost 2 acres and is a must visit.
