Rajouri Weather

The district of Rajouri experiences semi tropical climate, and as a result the climatic conditions in this region remain favourable for the most part of the year.

Summer

(April to June): The summer season starts from April and lasts till the month of June. The maximum and minimum temperatures of the Rajouri District during the summers have been recorded at 37 C and 20 C respectively.

Monsoon

(July to September): The monsoon season commences from July and ends in the month of September. The Rajouri District receives maximum rainfall in the month of August. Few areas of the district receive regular rainfall while other regions receive heavy precipitation in the form of hailstorms.

Winter

(December to February): December marks the onset of the winter season that lasts till the month of February. As compared to other regions of Jammu & Kashmir, winters are not very harsh in the Rajouri District. The maximum and minimum temperatures during winters have been recorded at 15℃ and 7℃ respectively. The climatic conditions remain favourable but temperatures can drastically plummet after sunset.
