Rajahmundry is connected by means of one national highway and two state highways to all parts of the state. Rajahmundry is along the NH-16 highway. NH-16 touches Rajahmundry via Lalacheruvu. It is connected by well-maintained roads to all major cities like Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jaipur, Bangalore, Lucknow and Chennai. It is also the transportation hub for both East and West Godavari districts.
