Doodhadhari Monastery, Raipur

The monastery is located in the southern part of Raipur and is dedicated to Lord Rama. Built in the 17th century by King Jaitsingh, the monastery is a popular attraction of the region. It is located on the banks of the river Maharajbandh. There is also a temple close to the monastery.

There is an intersting story behind the name of the monastery. The monastery is named after Swami Balbhadra Das who had only milk (translated as 'doodh' in Hindi) as his food.
