Nag Vasuki Temple, Pratapgarh

The temple finds mention in the Puranas. The temple is unique in that the presiding deity is the Nag (snake) Vasuki and its stone idol is located in the centre. Belief has it that a temple was located here as far back as the 10th century.

However, the construction of the present temple shows that it is not older than 18th century. The temple attracts devotees the year round, but more specifically during Nag Panchami when an annual fair is also held.
