Teen Darwaza, Panhala

3

Teen Darwaza literally translates to Three Doors. Found in Panhala, the three consecutive gates constitute a grand entrance to the Panhala Fort and is the very place from where the British invaded Panhala.

The well located near the Teen Darwaza was actually used as an effective medium to convey messages to the enemy – a brilliant and eloquent means of communication. A lemon would hold the message and be dropped in the well water which would float to the lake, all the way to the enemy. Teen Darwaza speaks highly of the rich cultural heritage that Panhala was once a part of and is a must visit.
