Sri Ranganathaswamy temple is located at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. It is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu as Lord Ranganatha. The temple is also known as Talpagiri Ranganathaswami temple and Ranganayakulu. It is believed to have been constructed sometime in the 12th century A.D. It is located on the banks of the famous Penna River. A lot of legends surround the place. According to folklore, Sage Kashyapa had performed the Poundarika Yaga at this very site.
