Nagarjuna Sagar Weather

The best time to visit Nagarjunasagar is during the months of October, November, December, January and February. These are the months when the weather is at its best in the town. The afternoons are warm and sunny and the evenings are pleasant without being cold. It is also easier to travel and go sightseeing during these months.

Summer

Nagarjunasagar has extremely hot summers that can cause heat strokes as well as dehydration. The summer months are typically March, April, May and June. The temperature during the months of summer is likely to go up to as high as 40 degrees Celsius. Travelling to Nagarjunasagar at this time is not advised because of the ill-effects the sun may cause.

Monsoon

Monsoon in the town commences from the month of July and lasts through August and September. October and November also see slights spurts of showers. Rainfall during the monsoons is moderate; though, at times there may be thunderstorms. The temperature comes down to about 32 degrees Celsius when it rains.

Winter

Winter starts during the month of November and lasts until the end of February. The coldest months in the region are December and January. The winters are not cold like the winters of north India. Instead, the climate is quite pleasant and the winter sun is warm without being hot.
