Kranti Teerth, or The Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial is located 4kms away from Mandvi near the beach of the Arabian Sea. The foundation of the monument was laid by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat, on the 4th of October,2009. It took 14 months to complete the structure of 56,318sq.ft. The memorial was dedicated to the Nation on December 13th by the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The memorial gives us a glimpse of the life of Shri Shyamji Krishna Varma and his contribution during the freedom struggle of India. The urns that contain the ashes of the great freedom fighter and his wife Bhanumati are kept in the Smruthi Kaksh of the memorial.
The memorial is open on all days except Thursdays. The memorial has a look-alike of the India House, a library and also has a research centre to study about the revolutionary figures during the freedom movement of India. It also has galleries of painting of famous Indian leaders by some well-known artists.
