Balh Valley, Mandi

Balh Valley, also known as the Sunder Nagar Valley, located at an elevation of 800 m above sea level. Placed between the Shimla Ridge and the Shivalik Hills, this valley has a prominent stream, Suketi, flowing through it. Cultivation of maize, wheat, ginger and sugarcane are exclusively done in this valley. The occupations of the villagers of the Balh Valley include dairy farming, mixed farming, animal husbandry and horticulture.
