Lung-lei is the second largest town of Mizoram and is located towards the southern part of the state. Lunglei, also known as Lungleh, in literal terms mean "bridge of rock", and this town got its name from the bridge like rock that is found in the river area of Nghasih, a tributary of river Tlawng.
