Tiger Safari, located on GT Road (Ludhiana-Jalandhar Highway), is 6 km away from the main city and is spread over 25 acres of land. Visitors can see tigers, black bucks, rabbits, sambars and peacocks at this place.
Instead of looking at tigers caged in a zoo, it’s quite an experience to see them roaming in a free environment. The Wild Life Department of the city has delegated the responsibility of conducting the visit to the safari to a private firm.
The Safari is open on all days except Mondays, when it is closed for maintenance. Travellers can combine seeing the Tiger Safari, Hardy's world and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh War Museum in one stretch.
