Gurudwara Manji Sahib, Ludhiana

Gurudwara Manji Sahib, known otherwise as Gurudwara Alamgir Sahib, is situated at a distance of around 29 km to south-east of Ludhiana. Guru Gobind Singh Ji stayed here for some time, after leaving a place called Machiwara. Guru Ji realised that this place had no water, after which he shot an arrow in the ground, where a spring of water appeared. Later the spring was converted into a tank, which is now referred as Tirsar – the lake of arrow.
