Captans Resort is situated amidst lush green Western Ghats covering a huge area of two and half acres. It is easily accessible from Lonavala and Khandala and can be reached by Mumbai- Pune Expressway.
Being near to Tungarli Lake, Rajmachi/ Bhimashankar wildlife sanctuary and Walvan Lake at its backyard, the resort has the ideal location for trekking. The forts of Shivaji and neighboring Adivasi tribes are also some of the major attractions.
Those curious about wildlife can visit the dense forest of the ghats for Giant Indian squirrel, the Leopard, civets, Languor’s and other primates. The biggest deer in India, the Sambhar to the smallest the mouse deer are visible.
Large variety of flora and fauna with rare birdlife including painted spur fowl, the paradise flycatcher and the Great Pied Hornbills keeps the tourists busy. The resort is best in offering privacy to its guests. The cottages and tents for accommodation have all the modern amenities.
The resort is built and run by Capt. Mohan Chabba who was an Ex Merchant Navy ship Captain. He harbors great love for nature and without any kind of deforestation he has remained successful in maintaining the ecology of the place and planted even more trees. He is also fond of philosophy, religion and spirituality and workshops are provided for these. The resort also hosts conferences and other team outings.

Captans Resort encourages team building sessions, workshops on communications and any such business discussions at Captans Retreat Center which might have the objectives like building trustworthy leaders, maintaining ethics, discipline, responsibility and team spirit.
