Tourists can visit Venkatraman Temple while heading towards Kumta if time permits. Lord Venkatraman and Lord Gopalkrishna are the main deities of the temple, while some of the other deities worshipped here are Satyabhama, Lakshmi and Mukhya Pran Dev.

The Car Festival celebrated in the month of February and Foundation Day in the month of May are the two main occasions of the temple. Some of the other religious functions that are organised in the temple include Kartikotsav, Champashasti Utsav, Saptaprahar Bhajan, Rathotsav and Ugadi.

Mukkoti Dwadashi, Akashaya Triteeya, Anant Vritha and Ramnavami are some other festivals that are celebrated at this temple. The administration of this temple is in the hands of Shri Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math. This temple acts as the centre of spiritual, religious and social activities for the Gowda Saraswat Brahmin Community.
