The luxury heritage property belonged to Maharaja Umed Singh II of Kota who was the ruling king of Kota in the early 1900s. The heritage hotel is constructed in Indo- Scarcenic style and is a fusion of Rajput and Victorian architecture.
The magnificent palace was designed by Sir Swinton Jacob who was the officer of the Royal Engineers of the British Army. Maharaja Umed Singh II had commissioned him to undertake and implement the project in 1905. Now the palace is transformed into a heritage hotel and is nestled amidst lush landscape and its courtyards, marble corridors and picturesque ceilings are some of the special features of the property.
