Khandwa is a beautiful town located in the district of East Nimar in Madhya Pradesh. It is considered to be an old town with many temples and shrines as well as several ancient kunds. In Khandwa, there are many Jain and Hindu temples. The 12th century saw the rise in the Jain faith and Khandwa turned out to be the centre of Jainism.

Siddhawar Kut and Mamaleshwar are located in this place. The first one is an important religious place for the Jains and the latter one for the Hindus. Asirgarh Fort, known as the Eye of Deccan, is an important attraction of Khandwa. Every year thousands of tourists from all over the world come to see this fort. How to Reach Khandwa

  • By Road
    Khandwa can be reached by road through public transportation such as buses and taxis. Regular buses ply to Khandwa from the neighbouring places and the important places of Madhya Pradesh. The best way to come to Khandwa via road is to travel through Indore. It takes around 3 hours from Indore to reach Khandwa.
