It is built on twelve granite pillars which gives the temple an elevated platform at a height of 11 ft.

The grand roof is built from sandstone. The temple is mainly built from granite. Every side of the temple is projected prominently with beautiful carvings. The carvings increase the beauty of the temple.

The architecture of the temple is in sync with other temples of Khajuraho. The inner sanctum of the temple has a Shiva lingam. It also has a lintel above the door of the sanctum. This indicates that the temple was dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu sometime in the past.
