How to reach Kedarnath by road

Buses are available from Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Kotdwara to Gaurikund. During the yatra season, special yatra services are available to the tourists for reaching Gaurikund. Travellers can also avail private taxis and cabs, which frequently run between Rishikesh and Gaurikund-Badarinath. Travellers can also hire ponies and horses from Gaurikund to carry their luggage up to Kedarnath.
