How to Reach Kashmir

Srinagar is the nearest airport to Kashmir, situated at a distance of 14 km from Kashmir. The Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi is also well connected to other major countries of the world.

The Jammu Tawi Railway Station is the nearest railhead to Srinagar, situated at a distance of 305 km. Tourists can easily avail direct trains to Jammu from the major cities of India including Kolkata, Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and many others. Additional trains are also available for this station during peak tourism seasons.

Kashmir is well connected by roads from Jammu, Kargil, and neighbouring areas. National Highway 1-A connects Srinagar with Jammu. Many private super deluxe buses take travellers to Kashmir. The J&K State Road Transport Corporation (J&KSRTC) is another convenient option. Tourists can also take private taxis to reach Kashmir.
