Vishnu Mandir, Janjgir-Champa

Established by the emperors of the Hayhay Vansh, which can be found close to the Bhima Talab of the Purani Basti at Janjgir. Said to have been constructed during the 12th century, this temple was initially being built in two parts, but both parts were not completed at the same time, leading to the existence of two separate temple structures which are incomplete even to this day.

The temple bears beautiful sculptures of male and female deities, along with demi-gods, known as the Gandharavas and the Kinners, which prove to be a delight to the visitors. The temple is locally renowned as the Nakata Mandir.
