Idukki Weather

Owing to the pleasant climatic conditions, Idukki can be visited any time of the year, except during the rainy season. Summer is a good time to visit Idukki. The period during November to January is the best season to visit the place. It is recommended to carry winter clothes while planning a trip to Idukki during this season.

Summer

Idukki experiences a very short summer that lasts only for three months. The summer months are from March to May. The weather is very pleasant during this time as the temperature reaches only to a maximum of 32°C. You can visit Idukki during this time.

Monsoon

The Monsoon season starts from June, and it continues to rain till September. The temperature drops during this time, and the weather remains cool. Monsoon is not ideal for trekking and other adventurous activities. Travelling to Idukki during monsoon is not recommended.

Winter

Winters are long in Idukki. The weather in this time becomes quite cold. The temperature drops to 10°C, the maximum being 22°C. You can feel the chill of winter in October, and it remains cold till February. If you are visiting Idukki during this season, do not forget to pack warm clothes.
