Mrugavani National Park, Hyderabad

Mrugavani National Park is located in Chilkur that is about 25 km from Hyderabad. The uniqueness of the national park lies in the immense variety of flora and fauna it presents to the thousands of visitors who come here each year. There are close to 600 varieties of plants alone in the park. One can also spot bamboo, palash, sandalwood and teak growing in the park.

Animals range from Indian hare and chital to civet and forest cat and from wild boar to sambar. The Indian rat snake can also be spotted within the premises of the park. There is also a Russell’s viper, a cobra and a python. Flowerpecker bird is commonly found in the park. You can visit the park any time during the day and the daring ones can rent cottages and tents available within the premises of the park and enjoy the park’s wildlife at night.
