Kalaseshwara Temple, Horanadu

Tourists are also recommended to visit Kalaseshwara Temple on their trip to Horanadu. This temple is situated at Kalasa at a distance of half an hour journey from Horanadu. The temple is situated at the hilltop from where River Bhadra flows.

There are two idols of elephants in the temple, out of which one is of Ganesha and other of his wife, a she-elephant. Both the statues are similar; however, the male elephant has Asura below his foot. It is believed that the place belonged to Asura, who was killed by Lord Ganesha.

Tourists can see Kalaseshwara Statue, a lingam, which is believed to be Lord Shiva himself manifested in a kalasam.
