Bagmandala, Harihareshwar

Bagmandala is a small little village situated a few metres away from the city of Harihareshwar. It is a lovely place that serves as a major attraction here. Bagmandala is famous for being the residing spot of the Peshwa of the Maratha Kingdom during their reign in India for several years.

The place carries the legacy of the ruling dynasty in the Peshwa Smarak or the Peshwa Memorial. The Bankot Fort is another attraction here worth checking out. The sea harbour in the lush green forest – the Jungle Jetty – is a must try. It ferries locals and tourists across the Bagmandala Creek to the Ratnagiri Fort.
