Gurdaspur Weather

The city experiences three distinct seasons, namely summers, winters and monsoons. It also experiences a brief post monsoon season between monsoons and winters.

Summer

The summer season begins in April and lasts till June. During this time period, the temperature can rise to 44o C. It is also customary of the occurrence of dust storms in the months of May and June.

Monsoon

The monsoon season commences in July and lasts till August. It is followed by the post monsoon season (September and October). In comparison to summers, the temperature falls considerably during monsoon, along with an increase in humidity

Winter

The beginning of November marks the beginning of the winter season in Gurdaspur. This season is characterised by a remarkable fall in the temperature, dropping till 6o C sometimes. The winter season lasts till the end of March with January being the coldest month. Gurdaspur also experiences some rains in January and February.
