How to reach Giridih by road

Giridih is well connected by roadways as Grand Trunk Road passes through the district. Giridih is situated at the junction of NH-2 and NH-100. Bus terminal being located in the centre of the city is easily accessible from any corner. Both private and Government buses are available. Regular bus service not only connects every corner of the district but also connects Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh and Deoghar. Asansol, Durgapur, Kolkata and Howrah in West Bengal and Patna in Bihar are also well connected by bus service. Other means of transportation include trekkers, autos, rickshaws, mini buses and private taxis.
