Saragarhi Memorial, Ferozepur

Saragarhi Memorial Gurudwara was built to commemorate the battle of 1897. It was built by the army in the honour of 21 Sikh soldiers of the ‘36 Sikh Regiment’, who sacrificed their lives fighting against ten thousand Pathans on account of protecting Fort Saragarhi in Wazirstan. This memorial Gurudwara is surrounded by cannons while its walls are engraved with names of the 21 brave soldiers.

A religious congregation is held in the morning of 12th September every year, which is followed by a reunion of ex-servicemen in the evening. Thousands of people gather here on the day of the congregation to pay homage to the martyrs.
