Barki Memorial, Ferozepur

Barki Memorial was built in 1969 in honour of the soldiers of the 7 Infantry Division, who sacrificed their lives during the battle of 1965. The foundation stone of the memorial was laid down by Lt. Gen. Harbakhsh Singh VC on 11th September 1969, and the inauguration was done by Lt. Gen. HK Sibal MVC.

The memorial, presently a part of the Saragarhi Complex, has a 27-ft high pillar in the centre that has been built using white gneiss and red sandstone. A patton tank and the Barki Milestone stand in the South, and a water fountain in the north, with the pillar in the centre. Barki Memorial, boasting of classical Indian architecture, is also famous for its mouldings and relief carvings.
