The town experiences extremes – hot and humid summer season and cold winters.

Summer

Located in north India, Fatehgarh Sahib experiences typically hot summers, with the temperature soaring as high as 45o C. This season also sees frequent dust and sand storms, which intensifies the heat. Travellers are advised to carry umbrellas and a bottle of glucose water in case they plan to visit the town during the summer season.

Monsoon

Fatehgarh Sahib experiences sub-tropical continental monsoon climate. People are relieved with the onset of monsoon, which lowers the temperature considerably. Though the temperature falls, there is an increase in relative humidity.

Winter

The mercury goes down with the beginning of the winter season, and sometimes dips as low as 4 degree C in the months of December and January. I C. Tourists travelling to Fatehgarh Sahib during this season should carry warm clothes to protect themselves from the cold weather.
