Rauza Sharif, Fatehgarh Sahib

Rauza Sharif is regarded as the second Mecca for Sunni Muslims. Situated on the Sirhind-Bassi Pathana Road, this place is dedicated to Shaikh Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindi, who lived here between 1563 and 1624.

The Urs of Shaikh Ahmad Sirhindi (death anniversary) attracts a lot of Muslims from all over the world. This place features several tombs belonging to the family members of the Shaikh. Apart from this, it also has tombs of the Afghan ruler Shah Zaman and his Queen.

This place with beautiful arches and domes has been declared as a historic monument by the Government of India. Tomb of Ustad and Shagird and Tomb of Mir-I-Miran are other nearby tombs which travellers may be interested in.
