Reptilian species like marsh crocodiles, turtles, chameleons, pythons, cobras, Russell's vipers, banded kraits and the endemic species of Leith's Soft Shelled Turtles can also be spotted here.

Doddamakali offers angling opportunities to its visitors as the River Cauvery slows down and collects into a large pool at this place. The Catch and Release' method is followed at this fishing camp and anglers can try their luck in catching Mahseer and other local fish.
