Diezephe Craft Village, Dimapur

As the name suggests, the Diezephe Craft Village is a handicrafts and handloom village. The Tenyimei community is the primary inhabitants of the village who are known for their excellent craftsmanship. The craft village is popular for its deft woodcarving, bamboo work and other forms of handicrafts and handloom.

Diezephe Craft Village is located 13 km from Dimapur and is well-connected by tourist taxis and state transport buses. Here, not only are the artworks displayed, but the process of making them are also openly shown to the tourists.

The craft village is managed by the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited. It is under their guidance that the villagers have been able to excel in their expertise and have been able to promote their art to the world. Regular workshops are also organised in the Diezephe Craft Village for the local weavers and for people from across the region.
