The temple is adorned with marble carvings and has a huge silver gate in the entrance. The temple is famous for its rats, popularly known as 'Kabas'. According to a belief, these Kabas carry the souls of the future children of the goddess, known as 'Charans'. These rats hold high religious importance in Deshnok. Even the slightest sight of white Kabas is regarded to be highly auspicious. Moreover, the touch of these Kabas on the devotees' feet is also considered as a very good sign. These Kabas live on the prasad offered by the devotees.
