The summers here starts in the month of April and extends till June. The temperature can vary from 16 degrees to 38 degrees. This is not a good time to travel to Chatra.

Monsoon

The monsoon sets in by the mid of June and continues till September. The area receives moderate rainfall during the season which gradually brings the temperature down.

Winter

The winters here are from the month of October to January. This is when the temperature further drops to a freezing level. The normal range of temperature during this season is from 1 degree to 28 degrees. Winters are perfect to travel to Chatra, provided you carry winter clothing to make yourself comfortable in the extremely chilling climate.
