The Kalpataru Botanical Garden is situated in Umbergaon, located about 10 km away from the village of Bordi. Kalpataru is credited to be a marine village that encompasses a botanical garden. This garden comprises of several different trees that surround the park area. The trees found here provide with an extensive green cover for the village.
The monsoon season and the post monsoon season pose as the most apt time to pay a visit to this beautiful place. The surrounding area has a lush green appearance to it which relaxes the mind. The famous epic of Ramayana shown on TV was shot in this garden under the Vrindavan Studios set up nearby. The Park is preserved and maintained by the Dahanu Municipal Authorities.
