Makhdoom Masjid, Bhatkal

Makhdoom Masjid, a must visit tourist site of Bhatkal, is located in the oldest Muslim residential area of the town. The name of the mosque is derived from Makhdoom Colony, which itself is christened upon Hazrath Makhdoom Faqui Ismail Sukri.

It is believed that he performed Chilla, a prayer that is over a period of forty days, in this town in order to please Allah. Some of the other mosques that tourists can visit while passing by Makhdoom Masjid are Jamia Masjid and Sultan Masjid.
