Barmer Weather

Barmer has a barren type of climate throughout the year; summers are too hot, monsoons are dry while winters are quite cold.

Summer

(March to May): Barmer is characterised by very hot summers with temperatures reaching as high as 46° C in the month of May. The lowest temperature during summers is 23° C.

Monsoon

(June to September): The region experiences very scanty rainfall and the place remains dry even during the monsoon months. However, due to low depression, there is abnormal rainfall in the region in certain years. As there is very little rainfall here, Barmer comes under the drought prone regions of the country.

Winter

(November to February): Winters in Barmer are not very harsh like other places of Rajasthan. Weather remains cool during this season with temperatures ranging between 10° C and 36° C. January is usually the coldest month of the season.
