Kakuni, Baran

Kakuni is located at a distance of around 85 km in the Chhipabarod Tehsil of the Baran District. The place is renowned for its temples and is situated on the banks of the Parvan river. These temples are the remains of Jain, Shiv and Vaishnava temples which date back to the 8th century. 

More than 60 per cent of the idols of the Kakuni temples are now preserved in the museums of Kota and Jhalawar. Travellers can also see the remains of the Bhimgarh Fort here which was built by King Bhim Deo.
