Suryanarayana Temple, Bangalore

Suryanarayana Temple or Sri Suryanarayana Swamy Temple in Bangalore is one among the very few temples in India dedicated to the Sun God. The temple conducts spiritual activities and witnesses a steady crowd each day. It is located in Domlur around 3 km from the Bangalore International Airport.

The temple was constructed by Patel D. R. Krishna Reddy in 1995. The beautiful architecture of the structure is in Chola style. The 3.2 ft idol of the Sun God is believed to have been brought from Badrinath.

Just beneath the idol of Surya Narayana, the idols of Kashyapa and Aditi can be found. The temple is easily accessible as it is situated at a distance of around 8 km from Bangalore city and 4 km from Bangalore International Airport. An annual fair is conducted in the temple during Rathasaptami Day every year.
