Sankey Tank, Bangalore

Sankey Tank is a manmade lake or tank located in the northern part of the city. The tank that was once under threat, was later restored by the Water Supply and Sewerage Board with the funds invested by the Karnataka government. This tank is also used for idol immersion during Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

The Sankey Tank was also called Gandhadhakotikere. The tank covers an area of 37.1 acres of land. The swimming pool, paved walkways and nursery are some of the other attractions of Sankey Tank.
